Low calorie smoothie recipe for detox - Detox, baby, Detox!!!

This is my Master Cleanse, low calorie smoothie detox recipe. My Natural detox with health benefits. This smoothie is a safe soothing natural detox for diet and weight loss. I call this my post-thanksgiving Natural Earth Cleanser. If you are living on planet earth, then you know by now that November 25, was Thanksgiving Day in America. Most people (like me) tend to over-indulge and enjoy all the “badies” loaded with sugar, fat and carbs. It’s true that we have to be smart about our food choices, but what do you do when you’re presented with mouth-watering deserts like pecan-pie, sweet-potato pie and pound cake topped with ice-cream. . . I EAT, and I EAT until my stomach is stretches to the Maxxxx. But, there’s HOPE and a solution!!! I came up with my own version of a colon cleansing smoothie that does the “job” in a safe natural soothing manner. Without much ado… Now… Let the DETOX begin!!!!!!!!!!!

Cinnamon: I was watching Dr. Oz one day when he mentioned that Cinnamon is great for aiding digestion and now I put it in as many dishes as I can. Cinnamon also lowers cholesterol and has extremely high anti-oxidant activity and it’s also a great source of manganese, fiber, iron, and calcium.

Aloe Vera Juice: Wow, where do I begin with this amazing plant and its many healing benefits. They are so many to enumerate but I can’t think of cleansing or detoxifying without using Aloe Vera and that’s why it has to be a priority in my smoothie. It aids in the elimination of constipation / aids in digestion and helps regulate blood sugars. It detoxifies the body and colon, of course and helps with weight loss by increasing metabolic rate to burn more calories and improves circulation.

Grapes: When I learned that Grapes are considered as a laxative, I went off the rocks with joy because my son gets easily constipated. This is one of the most delicious fruits, rich in vitamins A, C, B6 and essential minerals. I also learned that grapes have powerful antioxidants, which can reduce the damage caused by free radicals and slow ageing.

Mango: I include this in my smoothie because it aids digestion due to the digestive enzymes found in the fruit which by the way, soothes the stomach. Its high amounts of fiber can be a helpful in keeping you regular, thereby helping or preventing constipation.

Prunes: If you’re living on planet earth, then you know that prunes contain loads of fibers and a stool loosening sugar called sorbitol. Among other benefits, prunes are also excellent for increasing one’s vitality and slow the body’s aging process.

Spinach: This is one of those green vegetables that is very cheap/affordable. Yaayy!! Spinach has many important roles to play in maintaining a healthy body such as a rich source of Vitamins C and A, but I include it in my smoothie because of weight loss. It doesn’t have a lot of calories, it has twice as much fiber as most other lettuces means spinach is excellent food for losing weight.

Almond Milk: First & Foremost, my son doesn’t drink regular milk because it constipates him. We’ve been searching and trying other options like rice milk or soy milk but we settled on Almond when we found that it is just perfectly soothing for his system and has tremendous benefits. So, for those suffering from lactose-intolerance, this is a perfect alternative. It also helps to know that when it comes to weight loss, Almond milk has been found to contain little to no saturated fat so it’s great for those of us trying to maintain a healthy weight. It is also rich in Vitamins E, a known antioxidant believed to good for detoxification. Helloooooo, I am loving this. . and no cholesterol, makes this milk extremely good for those suffering from high cholesterol problem.

So there you have it, my All Natural Earth Cleanser post-Thanksgiving DETOX aka my “poo-poo” smoothie!! LOL & enJOY!!!!!!
